We invite you to learn more about the traditions we wish to partake in; but above all else, to share our joy on this pivotal moment in our lives.

Your Presence is the Perfect Present

Given that we are planning to move to a new home, we would like to minimize the addition of new items to our future household. We would like to request that you forgo boxed gifts. More than anything, we’ll be happy to see you on our big day!

Wedding Apparel

Bengali weddings are bright, glamorous, and colorful; we encourage you to dress accordingly! Most men will wear suits. Western style clothing such as dresses are more than welcome (and the more colorful, the better!).

Most guests in attendance will be Bangladeshi and generally prefer modest/conservative apparel. If you’re interested in learning more about traditional South Asian clothes, here is a guide to to the kinds of women’s outfits you can expect to see at this wedding:

Cuisine

Our wedding will feature traditional Bangladeshi cuisine. This includes spicy and tender meat curries, aromatic rice dishes, and flavorful veggies. Not a fan of spicy food? Don’t worry- milder entrees will be present as well. Vegetarian items will be available, as well as decadent traditional Bengali sweets.
